This was a design strategy project for Evanced Solutions aimed at helping libraries rethink their space usage. Jeff Wain and I discovered that libraries need to rethink their approach to spaces and services in order to keep up with the evolving public need. We found that technology has caused a great shift in all areas of life, including pedagogy and research, but libraries have not really experienced much innovation in their approach to customer experience. We offered a strategic design plan addressing: space usage, focus on the public's need, and ways libraries could gain criticial mass by doing what its "competitors" already do. This project was collaborative; however my role and strengths in the project included the wireframing of design examples to communicate our strategy and vision.
Our project was selected as one of the exemplars, and were invited to present at the Evanced office in Indianapolis on October 11th, 2011.
